MQM on Tuesday staged walkout from the Senate and National Assembly sessions over increase in prices of gas and electricity. Haider Abbas Rizvi said that budget proposals of MQM were rejected and electricity price should be equal in all across the country. MQM members staged walkout from the Senate and National Assembly sessions over increase in power electricity prices. However, Interior Minister talked to them and got them back into the House. Talking to media after the session, Rizvi said that 57 paisas per unit extra are already being taken in Karachi so new increase is unfair. He said that pre-budget session should have been held and Parliament should have been taken into confidence. He demanded the President and the PM to look into the matter and revise the policy.
