Summary Altaf Hussain denied Rangers' claim in a statement issued from London.
LONDON (Web Desk / Agencies) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain on Thursday stated that Nine Zero is not a no-go area. He said statement of DG Rangers in this regard is based on lies.
In a statement issued from London, Altaf Hussain said that Nine Zero cannot be made no-go area because there are thousands of houses around the MQM headquarters.
Corps Commander Karachi’s statement that indiscriminate action is being taken in ongoing operation is also baseless, he added.
NINE ZERO RAID
A heavy contingent of Rangers personnel on Wednesday raided the prominent political party’s headquarters in Azizabad area and arrested more than 20 suspects.
The troops seized a large cache of assault rifles and detained suspects — including six "known criminals" — from the Muttahida Quami Movement s offices in the heart of the city, said Col. Tahir Mahmood, a spokesman for a Pakistani paramilitary force known as the Rangers.

The force is deployed to aid police and other forces to control law and order and militancy in the violence-riddled city.
The spokesman showed the media heavy weapons he said were seized from the offices and for which he said the party did not have licenses.
Mahmood claimed MQM sheltered criminals and obstructed life in the neighborhood by placing barricades in the streets.
