Summary Barton praised govt's efforts in war against terrorism
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for Interior Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Wednesday met British High Commissioner Phillip Barton and discussed key issues, Dunya News reported.
Ch Nisar said that the war against militants and extremists will be concluded in any case, adding that it is the first priority of the government.
Nisar and Barton discussed key issues including bilateral relations, lifting moratorium on death penalty in Pakistan among other issues.
Talking about the execution of death penalty in Pakistan, federal minister said that the government understands concerns of its allies despite it being the internal matter of Pakistan.
He further said that the judiciary is independent in Pakistan and that it will ensure the rights of every plaintiff.
The British High Commissioner praised the efforts of the government and people of Pakistan against terrorism.
