Summary Zardari's defense argued that investigation officer never saw original documents of the case

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Islamabad Accountability Court on Wednesday reserved the decision on former president Asif Ali Zardari’s petition for acquittal in corruption cases and will be read on March 16, Dunya News reported.

The Accountability Court judge Muhammad Bashir heard the corruption references of SGS and Cotecna against the former president.

Arguing the case, former president’s attorney Farooq H Naik said that the investigation officer says that he never saw the original documents.

The prosecutor National Accountability Bureau (NAB) told the court that the original record of the case is not with NAB. The court reserved the judgment in the case and adjourned the hearing until March 16, while giving last chance to the NAB to present the original documents as evidence.
