Pakistan Air Force inducts AWACS aircrafts in its squadron

KARACHI (Dunya News) -- Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) aircrafts, capable of detecting enemy aircrafts at a significant range, were handed over to Pakistan Air Force after a colorful ceremony.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif attended the event and was given guard of honour by a smartly turned out troop of Pakistan Air Force.

Speaking at the event, the Prime Minster said that Pakistan Air Force is up to the task of defending the airspace of the country.

He added that the induction of the Karakorum Eagle AWACS would further strengthen the defense of the country.

Speaking at the event, Air Marshal Tahir Rafiq Butt said new additions to the arsenal would enhance the war capabilities of the Air Force.

The Air Marshal further added that Air Force would leave no stone unturned to safeguard the national security.

The Karakorum Eagle AWACS inducted into Squadron Four of the Pakistani Airforce were recently acquired from China.
