ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) -- Political parties are busy curbing the practice of horse trading in Senate Elections.
Instead of show of hands, a suggestion of writing the name of the voter on ballot paper has surfaced, which will be finalized upon the meeting of the Prime Minister and Opposition Leader.
Government has placed its recommendations on the constitutional amendments to the opposition.
In a meeting presided over by Khawaja Saad Rafique, Moulana Fazal ur Rehman met with the Railway Minister where the latter tried to take him into confidence regarding constitutional amendments.
Khawaja Saad Rafique said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf(PTI) would also be taken into confidence regarding the ammendments, to which Fazal ur Rehman replied that the measures were intended to serve the purposes of PTI.
Elections for the 52 seats of the Senate would take place on 5th of March.
The political parties are wary of horse trading . According to them, the availability of second and third options for the candidates will reflect poorly on the results.
