Kot Radha Kishan incident: IG Punjab's Report submitted to Supreme Court
Sub-inspector Mohammad Ali, Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Abdul Rasheed have been held responsible.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya news) – Inspector General (IG) Punjab’s report on Kot Radha Kishan incident was submitted to the Supreme Courtof Pakistan on Wednesday. Sub-inspector Mohammad Ali and Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Abdul Rasheed have been held responsible for the incident according to the inquiry report. The report states that ASI Abdul Rasheed has been given forceful retirement. The Sub-Inspector s service has been cut back by 2 years.
According to the details, the report also states that the ASI was warned of the impending danger by the kiln owner. Rashid did not contact any superior officer in this regard however.
According to the report, the decision for aerial firing to dissipate the mob was not even taken before the Christian couple was burnt alive. The report also states that the Sub-Inspector was altogether unsuccessful in taking any precautionary measures before the incident.
