Fight between families of bride and groom started at the time of departure, firing killed a passerby
LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Dispute between the families of a bride and groom claimed one life in Sadar Bazaar of Lahore on Friday. Fight between the families of the newlywed couple started exactly at the time when the bride was to depart with the groom. Exchange of bullets between the two families claimed a bystander’s life, Dunya News reported.
According to the details, parents of the bride were not ready to let her leave but the groom’s relatives started pulling the bride and tried to force the girl to go with them. Firing started as the dispute got serious and injured several of the people standing there. One of the bystanders succumbed to injuries.
On receiving the information, police arrested the groom and six of his relatives from the wedding hall.
