Summary Chief Election Commissioner Sardar Raza Khan is chairing an important meeting in Islamabad.
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Chief Election Commissioner Justice (retired) Sardar Raza on Friday stated that local bodies elections in Punjab and Sindh will be held after completion of delimitation of constituencies while the polls will be conducted in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in May this year, Dunya News reported.
The Chief Election Commissioner is chairing a meeting in Islamabad to review different affairs regarding holding of local government polls in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh and Islamabad.
Representatives of National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA), Defense Ministry and provincial election commissioners are attending the meeting.
It may be mentioned here that the Supreme Court of Pakistan has given the Election Commission a deadline till February 12 to submit reply regarding delimitation of constituencies and election schedule.
