Balochistan: Protests held against lengthy power outages

Protest demonstrations are held against lengthy power outages in Quetta, Saryab, Lakpas, Kuchlak, Bostan, Yaru and other areas of Balochistan.The strike call was given by Balochistan Zamindar Action Committee.The protesters, while chanting slogans against the government and Wapda, blocked the main highways connecting Quetta to Sindh, Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, creating traffic snarl ups. They also halted a train going to Chaman from Quetta making the passengers suffer a lot. The demonstrators demanded of the government to exempt the tube-wells of loadshedding and cut the ongoing 20-hour outages in rural areas.
