OGRA takes notice of petrol shortage
OGRA would review the matter of shortage of petrol on January 16 (Friday) in a meeting
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) Chairman Saeed Ahmed Khan on Thursday has taken notice of the petrol shortage in the country and demanded oil marketing companies to submit record of storage.
According to the sources, the OGRA authority is considering the possibility of sending show-cause notices to the oil marketing companies. OGRA Chairman has taken notice of the shortage of petroleum products in the entire country.
According to the OGRA license, the oil marketing companies are bound to keep petrol for usage of at least 20 days in storage. It is likely that the companies caught in violation of the law would have to pay fine as punishment.
