We were advised to postpone visit to APS today, says Imran Khan
Imran Khan said he will visit the Army Public School this week.
PESHAWAR (Web Desk) – As questions started raising over presence of the political leaders at the reopening event of terror-hit Army Public School in Peshawar, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan came forward with a clarification, stating that he was advised to postpone the visit.
Imran Khan posted a message on micro-blogging website Twitter:
Planned to be with our brave children who returned to APS today along with Reham & CM KP, but we were advised to postpone visit 1/2

The PTI chairman further stated that he will visit the school this week:
2/2 as COAS was going today for what we were told was a "soft" opening of the APS. But we will be there with our brave children this week.

Khan s wife Reham Khan also posted a message:
I salute the courage of parents & children of APS Peshawar who stand defiant in the face of terrorism today. My prayers are with you.

Nearly three weeks after students and staff members were mercilessly gunned down by Taliban terrorists at the army-run school in Peshawar on December 16, 2014, the doors of the school were reopened on Monday, with classes resuming later this week.
