Three more die in famine-struck Thar
Distribution of aid by the Sindh government has been relatively sluggish.
THARPARKAR (Dunya News) – At least three more infants died of dearth in Thar on Thursday mounting the death toll to 34 for the month of January.
The deceased include a two-day old daughter of Reham Ali and a three-day old daughter of Qaiser Bhail whereas eight children have been admitted in civil hospital Mithi for treatment.
Distribution of wheat, blankets and dates by the Sindh government has also been relatively slow adding to the problems of affected people of Thar.
