The Supreme Court declared Nazeer Jatt, PPP candidate for NA-167, Vehari, ineligible from contesting by-polls on Wednesday. A three member bench, headed by Justice Javed Iqbal heard the case.During the hearing, Justice Javed remarked that a person who duped his people with his fake degree does not qualify the eligibility criterion for contesting the polls. He added that his resignation showed that he admitted that his degree was fake. The court observed that one who is dishonest is not eligible to be a member of the parliament.
