Army Chief General Raheel Sharif expressed satisfaction over Zarb-e-Azb, Khyber-1 operations

RAWALPINDI: (Dunya News) – Corps Commanders Conference examined the security situation of the country in detail on Friday, Dunya News reported. Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif expressed satisfaction over proceedings in Operation Zarb-e-Azb and Operation Khyber-1. He stressed upon respectable and safe rehabilitation of the Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) in their homes.

177th Corps Commanders Conference was held at General Head-Quarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi and was presided over by Army Chief General Raheel Sharif. Along with professional matters, participants of the conference also examined the internal and external security situation of the country. The conference was also briefed about improvement in Pak-Afghan relations.

Corps Commanders were also given briefing over Operation Zarb-e-Azb and Operation Khyber-1. They were also briefed about the strategies for the next phases of these operations. Army Chief expressed satisfaction over the gains made during the operations and appreciated the success. Actions taken on intelligence reports were also examined in the conference.

The conference also discussed in detail the rebuilding process in NWA and Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) and rehabilitation of the IDPs.
