LAHORE (Web Desk) – Punjab government has barred Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) workers from coming out on roads on the occasion of opposition party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protest in Lahore on December 15, Dunya News reported.
According to government sources, repetition of Faisalabad like situation will not be allowed in Lahore. Special arrangements will be made to ensure protection of state and private property.
The government will take every possible step for protection of people’s lives. No one will be allowed to block any road. Heavy contingents of police will also be deployed on all important roads in the city.
Earlier today (Tuesday), Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif chaired a high level meeting in Lahore to review law and order situation in the province.
Shahbaz Sharif said that the protection of lives, properties and honour of the citizens is the prime responsibility of the government and the provincial government stays committed in this regard.
Condemning the killing of PTI worker in Faisalabad, the Chief Minister said that the preliminary report of the sad incident has been prepared and an inquiry team has been constituted to probe into the matter.
He vowed to provide justice to the bereaved family at all cost and said that the culprit will be punished as per the law.
