THARPARKAR (Dunya News) – At least seven children died in famine-struck Thar on Tuesday mounting the death toll to 159 in 69 days.
The deceased children include a 21-day old Ramesh, Qeemat and a four-month old Resham who died at civil hospital Mithi.
Scarcity of food, water and medicine shrunk the survival chances. Children continue to die in Civil Hospital Mithi and Chachro Hospital whereas no substantial measures were being taken to counter the situation.
