Ijazul Haq challenges 18th amend in SC

Pakistan Muslim League-Zia patron Ijazul Haq has filed a petition in the Supreme Court challenging the 18th amendment today.Talking to media outside, he said that the constitution has been amended for political gains only, and added that the 1973 constitution has been distorted immensely instead of being restored.He maintained that the amended constitutional bill triggered lingual clashes across the country and stoke the dictatorial tendencies in the political parties .He feared that like judiciary, media freedom is also at stake in wake of the passage of the said bill.
