American Counsel General has provided $1.49million for the renovation of historical places, while US envoy Anne Patterson has said that the fund would be utilized in the conversion of 15 historical monuments. Patterson attended the meeting held at Jehangir Fort along with Punjab Director General Archeology Haroon Ahmed Khan. She said that the US is working to conserve as many as 550 historical places and added that earlier US gave around $400million to Pakistan in this regard.
