Power shortfall reduces as weather turns pleasant

Reduction in power shortfall to 3,981megawatts decreased the unannounced outages as only 9 hours loadshedding is being carried out in the urban while 14 hours in the rural areas.According to Pepco officials, the rains turned the weather pleasant across the country which resulted into fall in power demand which is 14,259MW, while the water inflow in reserves got better.Resultantly,the hydel power production stands at 2,795MW.Thermal Power Plants are producing 2,475megawatts whereas IPPs are generating 5,008MW. Around 690megawatts power is being provided to the KESC.
