SC moved against judicial commission formation

Rawalpindi District Bar Association has moved the Supreme Court against the Judicial Commission under the 18th amendment today.Bar President Malik Waheed Anjum made the federation a party in the case.It is argued in the petition that appointment of senior judges as proposed in the judicial commission is against judiciarys liberty and basic rights enshrined the Constitution. According to the petition, the incorporation of federal law minister and attorney general in the said commission is equal to interference in judicial matters.It is also demanded of the court that the said clause of the amendment bill be struck down.
