Mamnoon Hussain hosts dinner for Afghanistan President Ghani
Ghani vows to better relations with Pakistan and forget the bitterness of the past
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan President Mamnoon Hussain on Friday hosted a dinner in honour of his counterpart, Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani at President House.
The guests included Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) Aitzaz Ahsan, Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PMAP) leader Mahmood Khan Achakzai, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) member Mushahid ullah Khan, diplomat Raja Zafarul Haq, chiefs of all three armed forces and other high-ranked officials.
Ghani has come to Pakistan on a two-day visit. Afghanistan President Ghani vows to better relations with Pakistan and forget the bitterness of the past between the two neighbours.
Earlier, he was received at the Nur Khan Airbase by Prime Minister’s (PM’s) Adviser on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz.
A 30-member delegation including cabinet ministers, high-ranking officials and business representatives are accompanying President Ghani during his visit to Pakistan.
