NEW YORK (Dunya News) – Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri on Saturday announced that he will return to Pakistan this month, Dunya News reported.

Addressing a ceremony in New York, Qadri said that the investigation of Model Town tragedy hasn’t progressed, insisting that he ‘converted the sit-ins into a countrywide movement’ instead of winding it up.

PAT chief said that the rulers of a country where people have to stage sit-in protest for justice should be ashamed while talking about democracy and constitution.

He said that the investigation process of Model Town tragedy hasn’t progressed a bit and neither any accused has been arrested.

Tahirul Qadri said that even the tribunal established by Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Shahbaz Sharif held Punjab government and CM responsible for the tragedy.

He said the ‘journey to revolution’ is continued and that only a true leadership can save Pakistan.
