PFUJ protests, denounces aggression against journalists
Journalists' community chants slogans against act of violence on the Dunya News team
LAHORE (Dunya News): The Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) has protested outside the Sessions Court against the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) workers for assaulting Dunya News team.
The PFUJ strongly condemned aggression against the journalists. The journalists’ community also chanted slogans against the act of violence on the Dunya News team .
While addressing the protesters, PFUJ President Rana Azeem has demanded the government of punishing culprits who assulted the Dunya News team. Provincial Parliamentary Secretary on Information and Culture Rana Arshad assured the protesters of legal proceedings against the aggressors involved in the incident.
Talking to Dunya News, PFUJ Secretary General Amin Yousaf has denounced violence against the journalist community.
Lahore Press Club President Arshad Ansari has demanded off the government to cancel licenses of the lawyers who assaulted the team.
Balochistan Union of Journalists (BUJ) has criticised the violence by the lawyers.
Moreover, Central Union of Journalists Azad Kashmir and journalists’ communities of Sahiwal, Pasrur, Pind Dadan Khan, Sheikhupura, Rahim Yar Khan, Okara, Wehari, Kind Kot, Noshki and Nokandi have demanded immediate action against the wrongdoers.
