PML-Qs Ch. Shafaat has challenged Jameel Maliks NA membership in the Lahore High Court (LHC) after Dunya News broke the news about having fake information in his national ID card and foreign passport. It is maintained in the petition that Jameel Malik fraudulently obtained the nationality of Holland. For getting the said nationality, he filled wrong information in the passport about her parents names and date of birth. Dunya News exposed in a report that NA member Jameel Maliks date of birth and parents names in the foreign passport were different from national ID card. Jameel Malik was elected on PML-Ns ticket in 2008 general elections. He received 75,200 votes against 69,100 votes of Rehman Naseer Chaudhry.
