Mohajir Qaumi Movement (Haqiqi) leaders Afaq Ahmed and Aamir Khan were sentenced to 25 years imprisonment on Wednesday. The verdict was announced at a court setup in Karachi Central Jail. Afaq and Aamir were facing charges for the 1992 kidnapping and murder of one Farooq Siddiqui. Afaq Ahmed said the verdict was not unexpected. I refused offers from the government and now I am facing the consequences, Afaq said. However, Aamir Khan said he will appeal the decision in the Sindh High Court.
