Summary
After the resignation of Attorney General and Deputy Attorney General, Federal Law Secretary Justice (R) Aaqil Mirza went on two-week leave. The Supreme Court directed him to act upon order of reopening Swiss cases. The court called Justice (R) Aaqil on urgent notice, where secretary law stated that the letters written by NAB chairman are yet not sent and Foreign Ministry had asked him to give legal opinion in this regard. CJP ordered the secretary general to prepare a summary to write letter to Swiss authorities on government level and get it approved from the prime minister. The court had given deadline till April 5. Yesterday, Law Ministry submitted report on reopening Swiss cases but court orders were not fulfilled completely. In the meanwhile, Attorney General tendered his resignation. And now Law Secretary went on leave.
