The Army Chief laid a wreath on the memorials of the martyrs.
GILGIT (Dunya News) – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Wednesday termed the spirits of army men deployed on battlefronts as praiseworthy, Dunya News reported.
The Army Chief visited Gilgit Baltistan and participated in Annual Commanding Officers Conference in Northern Light Infantry.
General Sharif appointed Lieutenant General Ikran as Colonel Commandant of Northern Light Infantry and graced him with the badge. He reiterated his praises for the spirits of jawans deployed at the forefronts.

Addressing the attendants, General Raheel Sharif praised the operational preparation standards maintained by the officers.
He directed the jawans to always utilize their best abilities to maintain professional standard.
