Water level continues to rise at Head Tarimu, Panjnat, Guddu, Sukkur and Kotri barrages
A flood torrent of 700,000 cusecs is expected to pass through Head Tarimu.
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – According to Flood Forecasting Division, water flow in River Kabul Nowshera has been recorded at 17,800 cusecs while water level at Mangla water reservoir has increased to 7.86 million acre feet mark, Dunya News reported on Monday.
Water inflow at Mangla touched the mark of 107,498 cusecs and outflow was recorded at 72,400 cusecs. Water reservoir at Tarbel was recorded at 5.774 million acre feet, attaining the level of 1538.12 feet.
On the other hand, water inflow at Baloki has been recorded at 150,000 cusecs while outflow is 92,600 cusecs. Water flow in River Chenab at Chiniot Bridge has hit 828,000 cusecs while the flow at Qadirabad remained 226,000 cusecs.
Flood Forecasting Division reported that water flow at Head Tarimu is 163,000 cusecs, Head Marala 127,000 cusecs and Khanki 204,000 cusecs.
A flood torrent of 700,000 cusecs is expected to pass through Head Tarimu by Wednesday night. Meanwhile, authorities have placed explosives at the Athara Hazari dyke.
According to Indus River System Authority (IRSA), water torrent of 800,000 cusecs will pass through Guddu Barrage in next seven days and it will reach Sukkur and Kotri barrages in next ten days.
