ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – As Azadi March of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is continued, Chairman PTI Imran Khan has advised Vice Chairman PTI Shah Mehmood Qureshi to leave for Karachi today to consult PTI Sindh’s leadership on the ongoing political crisis.
Khan says that doors to negotiations have been closed; no invitation from the government shall therefore be accepted.
Imran Khan has asked Qureshi to meet the returning officers (ROs) of Tharparkar, who had previously admitted to rigging in the elections.
The locals of the Islamabad are busy preparing themselves for any untoward happening whereas the wealthy people, relief institutions, philanthropists, local leadership and workers have arranged breakfast for the participants of the protest in Islamabad.
The protestors got refreshed after having breakfast settled in their camps and under the trees whereas they are still facing the challenges of adverse weather conditions and putrefaction is causing discomfort.
The participants of the sit-in are facing the problems of coughing, stomach and skin infections.
Earlier, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan on Wednesday announced complete suspension of dialogue with the government until Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s resignation. He alleged the government tried to buy him off by offering him the post of deputy premiership.
Addressing the ‘Azadi March’ participants, Khan said that he cannot trust any investigation or reforms under Nawaz Sharif’s premiership adding that Sharif has the capacity to influence the process, adding that no transparent investigation can take place until Prime Minister resigns.
He said he will not leave the sit-in protest until Prime Minister’s resignation, adding that he is taking steps to rescue democracy.
He said no compromise over resignation demand is accepted, and that this step is for the sake of democracy.
He insisted he is a democratic man and that he hasn’t done a thing that is undemocratic.
PTI chief said that his only mistake was to endorse former military dictator Pervez Musharraf in referendum, adding that he had apologized to the whole nation for that.
He reiterated there’s no difference between former Egyptian dictator Hosni Mobarak and Nawaz Sharif.
Imran Khan said he will make important announcements later tonight, urging supporters to reach the protest venue.
He announced PTI is close to victory and that there’s no turning back now.
