ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) -- In a meeting led by Opposition leader Khursheed Shah, two committees were formed comprising of four members each, for negotiation with Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). Both these committees did not include any member from the government.
Khursheed Shah said that the formation of impartial committees is an effort to end this political game otherwise the results would not be pleasant if it continues this way. He added that if such a tradition of ‘dharnas’ start regularly then no political party would be able to complete its five year tenure in the future.
Meetings between political entities are taking place everywhere to diffuse the current political temperature of Islamabad and strive to reduce political tension.
Negotiation committee for Dr.Tahirul Qadri would include Aftab Sherpao and Ijazul Haq. Negotiation committee for Imran Khan would include Khursheed Shah and Ghulam Bilour.
Shah said that negotiations are necessary to uphold the supremacy of the constitution and territorial integrity but there would be no compromise in terms of democracy and parliamentary sovereignty.
