Sialkot: Woman killed in unprovoked Indian fire at Charwa sector
Chenab Rangers took positions and retaliated effectively to the firing.
SIALKOT (Web Desk) – A civilian was killed when Indian troops opened unprovoked firing along the Line of Control (LoC) in Charwa sector on Monday morning, Dunya News reported.
Indian troops resorted to firing and mortar shelling around 3:30 am (PST), sources told.
Resultantly, a woman identified as Nasreen Bibi was killed. Several houses in Khokhar Chaba village were also damaged in the firing incident.
Chenab Rangers took positions and retaliated effectively to the firing, silencing the Indian guns.
Pakistani and Indian troops have frequently exchanged fire along the the Line of Control (LoC), which divides the disputed Kashmir state, despite the 2003 ceasefire agreement.
