Babar Awan announces to establish Islamabad High Court

Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Dr. Babar Awan on Wednesday said a summary for the establishment of Islamabad High Court has been sent to the President and the Prime Minister. Addressing a function of Islamabad High Court Bar Association here, the minister said the High Court would be established under constitutional reforms package which would be passed by the parliament soon. He added after the passage of constitutional reforms package, judges will be appointed and 10 more courts will also be established in the federal capital including banking court, anti-narcotics court and anti-terrorist special court. He said those employees who were working with the Islamabad High Court will continue their work and those employees who have been transferred will be posted back. The minister on the occasion announced a grant of Rs. 10 lac for High Court Bar Association besides construction of Bar Rooms, Executive Rooms and Canteen.
