KARACHI (Dunya News) – The Sindh home ministry has imposed a ban on pillion riding in Karachi to ensure security on the eve of Eidul Fitr while the Punjab government has rejected the proposal to suspend cellular mobile phone services in the province.
According to details, the ban will be imposed from Sunday midnight till August 1 in the troubled metropolis. A notification has been issued in this regard.
The decision was taken to avoid any untoward incident on the occasion of Eid.
On the other hand, the Punjab government has rejected the proposal to suspend cellular phone services in the province on first day of Eid. The request was made by law enforcement agencies to maintain law and order.
