Govt to stop PTI protesters through container blockades
The recommendation to suspend cellular service in the twin cities is also under consideration.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The police administration of Rawalpindi and Islamabad have prepared a ‘comprehensive strategy’ to deal with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)’s long march scheduled for August 14, Dunya News reported.
The government administration has decided to place as many as 300 containers to stop PTI protestors. The Red Zone in Islamabad will be completely sealed. Over 100 entry points of the federal capital will also be blocked through the containers.
Moreover, the decision to call Rangers, Punjab police and Azad Kashmir police has also been taken. The participants arriving from cities other than Islamabad and Rawalpindi will also be stopped at various areas, according to the details.
