One person killed near Sialkot after India’s Border Security Forces (BSF) opened fire.
SIALKOT (Dunya News) – One person has been killed in Harpal sector near Sialkot after India’s Border Security Forces (BSF) allegedly opened fire on Sunday, Dunya News reported.
According to sources, seven people were injured in unprovoked firing from the Indian security forces including a woman and a child. The injured were immediately shifted to Combined Military Hospital, Sialkot. The Indian firing has been continuing for last two days.
The firing began on late Saturday night and continued until the wee hours. Punjab Rangers responded with retaliatory firing. However, the exchange of fire between the two armies continued for several hours. The firing incident has created panic in the population near the border area.
The Punjab Rangers’s spokesperson has said that troops have responded to the unprovoked firing from India and have called for a flag meeting to end the border tension.
