Summary MQM chief Altaf Hussain apprised Corps Commander Karachi of MQM complaints about Karachi operation.

KARACHI (Dunya News) - Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain contacted Corps Commander Karachi Lieutenant General Sajjad Ghani on telephone on Friday and apprised him of MQM complaints regarding Karachi operation.

Lt Gen Sajjad Ghani assured Altaf Hussain for taking all possible measures to make the ongoing Karachi operation impartial.

During the telephonic talk, MQM chief and Corps Commander Karachi decided to form a six-member committee to look into MQM complaints regarding on-going operation in Karachi.

The committee will comprise three members from MQM and three members from law enforcement agencies taking part in the Karachi operation.

After talks with Commander Karachi Lieutenant, the MQM chief decided not to write an open letter to Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif for the time being.

Earlier, Altaf Hussain has announce to write an open letter to Army Chief General Raheel Sharif apprising him that innocent MQM workers are being arrested and killed extra-judicially in the name of targeted operation in Karachi.

Altaf said that innocent MQM workers are being targeted for no reason, alleging that extrajudicial murders of the party workers are being carried out in the name of targeted operation in Karachi.
