Sindh govt rejects names for IG proposed by federal govt

The provincial government wants appointment of Fayyaz Leghari as Sindh IGP.

KARACHI (Dunya News) - Sindh government has rejected three names for the appointment of Inspector General (IG) Sindh.

The federal government had sent a panel of three names to the provincial government. The proposed names for the office included Captain (r) Mir Zubair Mehmood, Khan Baig and Rafique Hussain Sham.

Captain Mir Zubair Mehmood has been serving as Deputy Director Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), CCPO Quetta and IGP.

Khan Baig has been serving as Inspector General (IG) Punjab Police and Rafique Hussain had been serving as Additional IGP Sindh.

The Sindh government wants Fayyaz Leghari to be appointed as Inspector General (IGP) Sindh Police.
