LOWER DIR/ PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – A policeman was martyred in a hand grenade attack in Lower Dir on Sunday.
According to Dunya News, some unknown persons hurled a hand grenade at police vehicle near Khandro Chowk. Constable Aslam embraced martyrdom in the attack while police cordoned off the area and started search operation.
On the other hand, Police launched search operation in Hayatabad area of Peshawar on Sunday morning and held several suspects. More than 600 police officials participated in the operation.
SSP Operations supervised the operation in Phase 6 and 7 of the area while police officials from Tatara, Hayatabad and Police Lines took part in the door-to-door operation.
Police launched door-to-door search in the rented houses in these areas where most of the tenants are Afghan refugees. Personnel have been deployed at different roads in the area to check motorcyclists and vehicles.
