Two elite force personnel injured in Islamabad shooting
Elite force patrolling had commenced last week.
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Unknown gunmen injured two elite force men in the federal capital today (Tuesday), Dunya News reported.
According to police, Rangers and elite force personnel were on routine security patrolling when unknown gunmen opened fire on them near Lal Masjid within the limits of Aabpara police station.
The suspects managed to escape from the scene.
The injured elite force personnel have been identified as Kalimullah and Waqar Aslam. They were shifted to Poly Clinic Hospital.
Details of the attack including the number of gunmen were not yet clear but police are combing the area searching for the culprits.
Elite force was recently established and began patrolling Islamabad in late May following twin bomb attacks that killed one and wounded another.
