Summary Sources say PMLQ leadership will next meet MQM Chief for the possible alliance.

LONDON (Dunya News) – The second phase of contacts between central leadership of Pakistan Muslim League Quaid (PMLQ) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) are ongoing in London on Saturday in a bid to complete homework for formation of a possible ‘grand alliance,’ Dunya News reported.
The ongoing meeting is being attended by Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and Dr Khalid Ranjha representing PMLQ and Dr Tahirul Qadri as PAT’s representation. The leaders exchanged views regarding formulation of a possible ‘grand opposition alliance’.
It was decided in the session that more contacts will be initiated for the purpose of building grand alliance. PMLQ’s leader Kamil Ali Agha said that their leadership is meeting only Dr Tahirul Qadri at this point and no contact with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chief Imran Khan has been established.
Meanwhile, the sources say that PMLQ’s convoy will meet Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain in a day or two.

The 1st phase:
Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Chief Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said on May 30 that the corrupt system based on ‘3Ds’ – a term he coined for ‘Dhan, Dhons, Dhandli’ literally wealth, bullying and rigging – has been named democracy. He said that the system based on rigging must be abolished. Chaudhry brothers urged Qadri to return to Pakistan, saying that people of Pakistan supported him once and will support him again.
Tahirul Qadri, Chaudhry Shujaat and Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi briefed the press through a joint press conference after the meeting.
Dr Qadri said that current leaders’ stay in power in Pakistan is unconstitutional, unethical and undemocratic, adding that it is now obligated on the people to topple the government.
He said that the system based on rigging must be abolished and the power be transferred to the people, claiming that the current government will never do that.
He said that no alliance has been formed yet, adding that only a contact has begin. He said that the parties are also in contact with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)’s chairman Imran Khan and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM)’s chief Altaf Hussain.
He said that it is yet to be determined that what other ‘powers’ be contacted.
Talking on the occasion, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi said that his party is not against anyone and that the leaders have gathered only for the country’s welfare.
He said that the basis of current government is rigging, adding that a joint strategy will be created to rid the people of the system.
He said that electoral reforms are party of the agenda. He said that the current leaders confronted the army three times and are going to do the same for the fourth time.
