Disposal of pending cases must for public trust: CJ

Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry has said that public trust in judiciary could not be restored unless all the pending cases were disposed of.During a hearing of a case against FBR in Peshawar, the CJ remarked that the income tax officials are not authorized to assess wealth tax.A two-judge bench comprising Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry and Justice Chaudhry Ijaz heard as many as 25 cases.The bench is going to hear cases in Peshawar Registry during the next five days.
