Terrorist involved in D I Khan central jail attack killed

KOLACHI (Dunya News) – A terrorist allegedly involved in the attack on Dera Ismail Khan central jail was killed in a police encounter. Huge cache of arms was also seized.

The police raided Roadi village to arrest alleged terrorist Hikamtullah alias Matti.

After an exchange of fire, Hikmatullah was killed while a police officer was slightly injured.

Police confiscated hand grenade, rocket launcher and other automated weapons from his possession.

Dozens of heavily-armed insurgents freed nearly 175 inmates, including 35 ‘high-profile militants’, during a brazen overnight attack on the central jail in Dera Ismail Khan in July, 2013.

At least nine people, including four policemen and five militants, were killed in the attack and the following shootout.
