A rally was organized by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) while Awami Muslim League (AML) president Shaikh Rashid Ahmed addressed from a gathering in Liaquat Bagh. PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif lead a rally which started from Marier Chowk and ended at Committee Chowk. Polling would be held tomorrow while a public holiday has been declared on the day. Despite the tall claims of all the candidates to clinch the National Assembly seat (NA-55) in the by-election, the final showdown is likely between Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Shakil Awan and Awami Muslim League (AML) president Shaikh Rashid Ahmed. The Jammat-e-Islami (JI)s Dr Muhammad Kamal and Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaaf (PTI)s Ijaz Khan Jazi are also likely to be prominent during the contest. Imran Khan was holding a press conference in Rawalpindi, he said that DCO Rawalpindi called him four hours prior to his rally and informed that PTI will not be allowed to hold a public gathering since Nawaz Sharif is coming to Rawalpindi, however PTI was later on granted permission to hold a rally.Imran Khan said that if PTI will not be allowed to hold a rally in Rawalpindi then they will also not permit PML-N to hold a gathering. Imran claimed that the elections of NA-55 would not be free and fair. AML will secure a historical win in NA-55, says Sheikh Rasheed Sheikh Rasheed was speaking to Dunya News, he said that lot of his time was wasted in fighting cases in the court and three of his colleagues were killed and none of the culprits have been arrested. He said We would risk our lives for the public. Sheikh also said Historical victory for his party.Sheikh Rasheed said that he would raise voice against inflation and would resume all the development projects which were initiated.
