Govt committed to develop tribal areas: Zardari

President Asif Ali Zardari called on the members of parliament from FATA. A wide range of issues including war on terror, public sector development projects and political amendments were discussed.President Zardari said that the government is committed to develop the tribal areas economically. President also said that the tribal people would be empowered politically and the tribal area would be brought in equal terms to other parts of the country. President Zardari has lauded the services of late Sohail Qalandar, Editor of local news paper at Peshawar, particularly in the war against terror and militancy. Talking to Mrs. Gul-e-Rana, widow of late Sohail Qalandar, who along with her children was specially invited at the President House, the President expressed his deep sorrow and grief and said Qalandars services in the field of journalism would be remembered for long.He appreciated his courage and sacrifices and said he fought against militancy with his pen and was not deterred even after he was kidnapped by the militants.
