The local body amendment bill 2010 has been adopted by the Sindh Assembly, which has also been endorsed by PML-Q.Minister for Local Bodies Agha Siraj Durrani moved the bill in the Sindh Assembly. Addressing the Assembly, Durrani said that the new Bill would help improve the administrative efficiency.Izharul Hassan of MQM said that the amended bill would herald a new era of prosperity for the province, while Minister Rafiq Engineer said now the legislation would be carried out by the elected representatives of the public.Shahryar Mehar of PML-Q said that though the government has not taken his party in confidence regarding the bill, yet his party supported it in the larger interests of the country.
