Summary At least 12 people were killed in a violent attack on a district court in Islamabad on Monday.

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Lawyers on Friday continued their strike to protest against terrorist attack on a local court in Islamabad, Dunya News reported.

At least 12 people including a judge and five lawyers were killed in a violent attack on a district court in Islamabad s F-8 sector on Monday.

During the strike, the courts are holding proceedings only on remand requests.

Various high profile cases, including the judges detention case against former President General Pervez Musharraf and RPPs scandal against former prime minister Raja Pervez Ashraf could not be heard, as a result of judges joining the strike.

Lawyers accused court security of failing to act, which they claim allowed the attackers to kill and gave an opportunity to the attackers to kill as many people as they could.
