Summary The PUC peace seminar urged PM Nawaz Sharif to play his role for the success of the peace talks.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Ulema Council (PUC) organised a peace seminar here on Tuesday. Leaders of more than 28 religious parties participated in the seminar.

The ulema council appealed to Taliban to stop suicide attacks and bomb blasts that were taking innocent lives.

A joint declaration was also released at the end of the seminar. The declaration said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif should personally play the role for the success of peace negotiation with Taliban.

It also said that the diplomatic channel should be engaged to bring back dead bodies of 23 FC personnel from Afghanistan.

The declaration further said that foreign and internal policies should be reviews as per the recommendations of All Parties Conference.

On this occasion, The PUC announced to hold peace seminars in other cities including Islamabad, Karachi, Khanewal, Faisalabad.
