ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid said that he had advised former president Pervez Musharraf to appear before court in the treason case, Dunya News reported.
Talking to media in Islamabad on Friday, the Information Minister said that Musharraf hired high profile lawyers but still got trapped.
The information minister told reporters the stance of the government committee was that the scope of dialogue be limited to insurgency affected areas of the country.
No unlawful act will be carried out during the dialogue process, he added.
He said that government committee will present recommendations over Taliban demands today.
Giving his views over delay in local government elections, the minister stated that no political party opposes these elections, however, the polls were postponed due to legal issues.
