Summary They showed satisfaction over the fourth round of ministerial strategic dialogue in Washington.

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali met with US Ambassador Richard Olson here on Monday.

During the meeting, issues pertaining to bilateral relations with particular reference to the security situation in the region came under discussion.

Ch Nisar said Pakistan wanted to further strengthen its relations with the United States based on mutual trust and transparency.

He said Pakistan has an important role to play in the post-2014 scenario and hoped that the United States will watch out the interests of Pakistan in regional security.

The US Ambassador expressed his satisfaction over the recently concluded fourth round of ministerial strategic dialogue in Washington.

He said it is a matter of satisfaction that a very positive interaction took place between the two delegations and the meeting exuded warmth and understanding of each other’s positions.

Olson said his country shares Pakistan government’s vision for peace. He said the United States has genuine interests in the progress and well-being of Pakistan as articulated by Senator John Kerry himself.
